- Awaken your own inner child! Rake up the leaves in the garden (and if necessary, collect them from your neighbours’ gardens too), fluff them up into a big pile and jump. Repeat it over and over again!
- Get Spooky! Tuck in under lots of cuddly blankets and have a Halloween-themed movie night and binge-watch some of your all-time favourite films.
- It’s all about comfort! Fall’s the season when we start slowing down in preparation for a cosy winter which means only one thing: comfort food. Prepare a big pot of hearty soup.
- Relax! Pick a mystery novel, fill in the bathtub, light some scented candles and get a relaxing me-time away from the world.
- Get crafty! Go to a arts & crafts store and buy supplies to craft your own fall themed door wreath - no matter how glorious or disastrous the outcome, it’ll be your hand-made homage to the season :)
- Pumpkin Everything! Halloween celebrations are just around the corner and all-things pumpkin are everywhere. So why not have a go at creating your own pumpkin-inspired menu and decorations? Visit a pumpkin patch nearby and get creative! Carve your very own pumpkin, roast the seeds, make pumpkin pies or a pumpkin-spiced latte and enjoy the treats while watching It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
- Oh the Colors! I’m sure you all agree that fall’s colour palette is just beautiful, so you can get creative and make a picture journal to document all Insta-worthy things you spot during the season. Take a scenic drive to a wooded area and bring your camera with you to get started.
- Get outside! With the air turning fresh and crisp in the evening, get outside and go on a meandering bike ride amongst the fallen leaves. Dusk is definitely one of my favorite times this time of year.
- Fall cleaning? Who says springtime is the only season for organising your wardrobe? Declutter and donate any unused clothes in your closet to a charity shop and be creative reinventing new outfits with your old pieces (because you guys know I am all about lightening the amount of stuff you own ;))
- Learn a new skill! Take knitting lessons ( or find the equivalent on youtube) and make a cosy scarf or a sweater that you can wear throughout the season.
Fall’s here and so are all of the wonderful things you can do during this time and these are just some of my favourite ideas. I can’t wait to see what your fall bucket list looks like, so please share it with me in the comments section below.
